What Does the 40-Ton Rating Mean?
40 US tons is the crane’s maximum rated capacity. It does not describe capacity at every distance or boom position. A specific lift must be reviewed against the applicable load chart, crane configuration, lift radius and jobsite conditions. Boom length alone does not establish the available lifting height or reach for your load.
Common Applications

Provide the equipment’s documented weight and dimensions, the pick and placement locations, approximate crane setup location, lift height and requested date. Photos of access routes, setup space and overhead obstructions help explain the site. If a measurement is unknown, identify it as unknown rather than estimating it as a confirmed value.
